After many years of dedication to formulating superb Eden Valley Riesling, Elderton have again achieved an excellent expression of the genre, paradoxically the most underrated style of wine in Australia. Small harvests of fruit which show wonderful primary, zesty characters and delicate acid structures are the foundation. Elderton»
It's a bit of an enduring truism along the banks of Bremer River, that you need double letters in your name to qualify as a Langhorne Creek winemaker. Outstanding quality fruit and excellence in the art of vinification are essential too. Bremerton»
The historic goldfields at Beechworth are now delivering a different type of gold, in the form of suave white wines with panache and style. Pinot Gris has taken well to the cooler climes and mineral rich soils atop the steeply sloped aspects. Brokenwood»
Elizabeth is a classic Hunter Valley white which has established itself as one of Australia's benchmark Semillon. Named in commemoration of the first ever visit to Australia by a reigning monarch in 1954, Elizabeth has claimed over fifty trophies and multi gold throughout it's long and illustrious history. Mount Pleasant»
Capel Vale have played an important role in the establishment of the Western Australian wine industry and the recognition of southwest Australia as a world class winegrowing region. They established their first vines in 1974 after determining that the Capel area, near Geographe Bay, was ideally suited to viticulture. Capel Vale»
Outstanding Langtons Classification. The locals around the Lovedale property say that the sandy soils are so poor, that even the rabbits have to bring a tucker box just to survive! The lean and mean terroir is elemental to the long lived, fine boned style. Mount Pleasant»
The wines of Wignall were met with resounding success from the first release, inaugural vintages saw amazing results, attracting conspicuous gold medal and trophy victories. Fruit driven and voluptuous to drink, Wignall have refined the style of their Albany grown Cabernet Merlot to be perfect for today's palates. Wignalls»
Arrives fully labelled, from parcels of superlative Riesling vines, planted to the eastern slopes of Mt Chalambar, Gold Medal Winner Victorian Wine Show, Top 1OO Victoria Wine Awards & 95 James Halliday points. This is the finely balanced and generously proportioned white we've all been waiting for, its prettily perfumed bouquet of spiced lime, lemon rind and powdery talc delicacy is followed by a seamlessly layered palate that's loaded with an evolving array of eloquent, cool climate flavours, all within a finely textured, mineral mouthfeel, in deliciously off dry, adults only styling.. Whodunnit»
The long, late ripening conditions and exhilarating continental microclimes of Barwang Vineyard, marked by cold nights and warm summer days, produce red wines of considerable flavour profile, power and extract. Since the 1996 edition, Barwang Cabernet Sauvignon has claimed trophies and prestigious accolades, with every vintage collecting at least one significant gold medal. Barwang»
Perfect balance in wine cannot be manufactured, it occurs naturally. Gemtree achieves this elusive idyll. Gemtree»
Exclusively Adelaide Hills Chardonnay? You bet, it's a Wolf and it's nothing but the finest, in a modern adults only styling. Wolf Blass captures the affinity between Adelaide's Hills and Chardonnay, fashioning a vital wine with crunchy fruit characters and solid structure. Wolf Blass»

Penfolds Bin 128 Coonawarra Shiraz 2006 $29.99 / $357.00

Currently out of stock
Shiraz by Penfolds of Coonawarra. A cedary oak background is in balance with the cooler climate spices and earthy, meat complexities. Bin 128 reflects the unique climate and growing conditions of South Australia's Coonawarra district, and the relatively elegant style of cool-climate Shiraz. Before he left Britain, Dr Penfold obtained vine cuttings from the south of France (were they Shiraz?) re-planting them around the site of his modest stone cottage at Magill. Fine, persistent tannins comfortably convey a long and lingering finish, signing off and providing closure for this medium-weight Shiraz, it possesses all the right ingredients to excel as an A-level Bin 128.
