Stoney Rise is all about drinkability, the creation of complex, fully approachable food friendly wines, without any excessive oak or uber ripeness. Pinot Noir goes into the oldest barrels available to soften the tannins and refine textures without overpowering the sensual fruit characters. Stoney Rise»
Streicker's Bridgeland property yields harvests of the finest Shiraz. Crafted to traditional winemaking techniques, a regimen of old fashioned plungings and open ferments, into a pure, single vineyard Rhone style Syrah. Streicker»
Campbell's Topaque is the most wickedly intense, lusciously rich elixir, laden with candied peel flavours, honeycombed fruit and amber complexities. Painstakingly crafted to the old world Solera system, a bespoke tradition of fractional blending and elevage, achieving the most indulgent concentration of flavour through a laborious racking of barrels as the angels take their share. Campbells»
The Maxwell family's Meads have been acclaimed by leading wine critics and industry press for many decades. Starting with a base of Spiced Mead, a secret herb and spice infusion is introduced and the ferments are fortified. Maxwell»
The enthusiastic maritime climes of Martinborough are heaven sent for a style and quality of Sauvignon Blanc to rival the world's finest. Mother nature sets the stage, but ultimately it is the thoughtful viticultural practices of the Palliser Estate team, which ensures a harvest of ripe and intensely flavoured Sauvignon Blanc at every vintage. Palliser Estate»
Amherst is a town rich with colourful history and local folklore, site of the first official gold find in 1851, it launched a mining rush which expanded throughout central Victoria. The district's long association with viticulture is also prolific and colourful. Amherst»
Coriole is one of McLaren Vale's most eminent, artisanal estates. Consecutive vintages of Coriole Shiraz have claimed a remarkable back to back San Francisco Double Gold. Coriole»
Take a lesson from the well versed Rosé rectors on the Cotes du Rhône and you'll be adding a measure of the arcadian Cinsault grape into your Grenache ferments, conceiving an animate and engaging ochre pink wine. There's a real affinity between the balmy maritime climes of McLaren Vale and the swarthy, effusive varietals that hail from the French south. Bondar»
The five most most exclusive parcels of old vine Shiraz, a secret component of the Barossa's most memorable vintages, hand picked off the De Fazio and Hillview vineyards at Belvidere and Moppa. Batches are crushed into traditional open top fermenters for a week of pumpovers, gently pressed into an extravagantly high proportion of new French oak hogsheads for two years maturation, followed by the final assemblage, unfiltered and unfined. Pirathon»
An auspicious construct of Barossa Shiraz, which has claimed significant awards throughout its illustrious history, including gold at the prestigious London International. Peter Scholz is one of the Barossa's most capable and respected winemakers with a heritage that dates back to early settlement. Willows»
Elizabeth is a classic Hunter Valley white which has established itself as one of Australia's benchmark Semillon. Named in commemoration of the first ever visit to Australia by a reigning monarch in 1954, Elizabeth has claimed over fifty trophies and multi gold throughout it's long and illustrious history. Mount Pleasant»
Given the scarcity of Best's prestige, limited release, old vineyard icons, Bin #1 affords enthusiasts their first taste of the Great Western Shiraz style and leaves them eager to discover more. A classic, cool climate, aromatic wine, floral and spicy, peppery and elegant, retaining vital Great Western fruit character. Bests»

Gipsie Jack

http://www.gipsiejack.com.au/ - Gipsie Jack - Tasting Notes On Australian & New Zealand wines
Gipsie Jack is Langhorne Creek through and through, a reference to John Glaetzer's Jack Russell, she is proudly displayed on every label

Times have got a lot tougher in the wine grape Industry in recent times. Third, fourth and fifth generation Langhorne Creek growers have found themselves struggling to find a market for their premium fruit with many having no alternative but to accept rock bottom prices just to make ends meet. John has been a long time supporter of Langhorne Creek fruit. Along with great mate and local vigneron Bill Potts, they decided the time was right to take matters into their own hands and launch the Gipsie Jack brand.

Whilst Gipsie Jack has a serious mission to raise the image of Langhorne Creek and give a few mates a leg up by providing a small but ever increasing alternative market, Bill and John don't want their customers to take the wine too seriously. Is that because it's not a good wine? Hell no! It's a cracker. In every aspect it is vibrant, fresh and fun. Bill and John don't want you to worry about length, balance and mouth feel. Although it rates very highly in all of these categories, Gipsie is about friends, food and fun times.

You can choose Gipsie Jack off of a wine list in the company of the most knowledgeable wine drinker and know that there is no better value for money wine on any list. Gipsie Jack is a wine that lends itself perfectly to a lifestyle of friends, fun and food. Gipsie Jack is especially designed to drink today.

Gipsie Jack Wines are modern and stylish. Bill and John have captured the freshness and vitality of today's lifestyle and sealed it in a bottle. You don't need a degree in wine science or to have attended the latest wine sppreciation course doing the rounds to drink these wines.

Gipsie wines are made by people who are passionate about wine especially for people passionate about anything. There are a couple of key ingredients you should add to your Gipsie Jack wine for maximum enjoyment. Lazy weekend barbeques, fresh foods and best friends are all Gipsie moments.

The Glaetzer and Potts families share a long history together. Ben's great grandfather was the first Langhorne Creek grower to supply grapes to Wolf Blass. John became chief winemaker at Wolf Blass in 1974 and received four Jimmy Watson trophies for his peerless efforts in winemaking. Much of the secret to his success was the quality of the Potts family's fruit. John has been Ben's mentor for many years. They refer to their partnership as the old dog and the new pup, occasionally having the odd dispute over old tried and proven methods, versus the new way of doing things. At the end of day everyone's a winner, a glass or two of Gipsie Jack settles the debate and puts a smile on everyone's face.
