The quality of Shiraz grown to parched vineyards in Victoria's rugged western districts, has been well known throughout the world of wine since the days of gold rush and early settlement. Taltarni have since established an enviable reputation for vintages of powerfully structured, statuesque red wines, fully exploiting the soft spoken majesty and graceful intensity of Pyrenees Shiraz comes naturally. The Moppa district was a flourishing settlement of pioneering farmers and gold miners. When the Kalleske vineyard was established in 1853, there were few schools in the region, so local parents established the Moppa Public School to provide their children with a formal education. Kalleske»
The term Terra rossa means red earth, a rich, free draining soil that is considered by many as the viticultural equivalent of discovering gold. Beneath the strata of red earth at Wrattonbully sits a layer of ancient limestone, a winegrower's dream as it allows free drainage of water, yet ensures vine roots stay close to the surface, putting natural stress on the vine and limiting its vigor and yield. Smith Hooper»

Of particular importance to Shadowfax are the very close relationships with a select group of growers who provide harvests of the most intensely flavoured fruit. Bedecked with gold medals, significant trophies and countless five star commendations. Shiraz by Rockbare of Barossa Valley. A soft, full palate, laden with juicy upfront fruit, ripe satsuma plums and blackberry, cherry cola and a liberal splash of sweet oak. Tim Burvill became aware of precious old vineyards dotted around Barossa Valley while working for some of Australia's most prominent wineries. The secret behind Mojo's appeal lies in its modern styling, superb balance between old vine fruit and quality oak. The finish is silky smooth, endowed with integrated velvety, chalky tannins followed by a nifty trace of black pepper.
