Shiraz by Penfolds of Barossa Valley. A wine with trademark mid-palate richness, a mouthfilling, generous and expansive palate. Regardless of vintage, Grange delivers astonishing weight of fruit in a delicious, explosive style without any overpowering oak or gratuitous complexity. Vintage 2000 produced a smaller crop of better quality fruit, harvests were reduced but the quality was very good. Dark chocolate and plum fruits court a deceptive play of substantial ripe tannins, an elegant nose, a more powerful presence on the palate.
