The five most most exclusive parcels of old vine Shiraz, a secret component of the Barossa's most memorable vintages, hand picked off the De Fazio and Hillview vineyards at Belvidere and Moppa. Batches are crushed into traditional open top fermenters for a week of pumpovers, gently pressed into an extravagantly high proportion of new French oak hogsheads for two years maturation, followed by the final assemblage, unfiltered and unfined. Available in cartons of six
Chardonnay by Heirloom of Adelaide Hills. A voluminous, golden oaked Chardonnay from a precious block of superior vines, treated to the luxury of a year's maturation in a rich proportion of new French barriques. Redolent of the succulence and chantilly from good French oak, its serious palate weight and volume of fruit, making a multi dimensional Chardonnay style to match robust white meats, Veau au vin blanc and crispy crackling pork.

https://heirloomvineyards.com.au/ - Heirloom - Tasting Notes On Australian & New Zealand wines
Heirloom Vineyards were conceived in vintage 2000, when a young winemaking student caught the eye of a silly old wine judge

A love story ensued inspired by two vows, to preserve the best of tradition, the old world of wine and unique old vineyards, to champion the best clones of each variety planted in the most appropriate sites, embracing the principals of organic and biodynamic farming. Seven long vintages of trial and error passed before Heirloom Vineyards could make a wine that was fine enough to pass on to future generations. That is this wine.
